The names sound legit — they combine real technical terminology into publication names that don't exist. Real journals in these fields do exist (ASME's "Journal of Heat Transfer," Wiley's "Indoor Air"), but the specific names cited in AERIOQ marketing don't match any traceable real publication.
The Fake-Credentialed-Author Problem in This Category (And My Stance)
The bio describes her as having "reviewed and analyzed more than 1,200 products." I attempted to verify this author's identity, Stanford credentials, and actual authorship — and could not, through LinkedIn, Google Scholar, or ResearchGate.
The Physics I Won't Argue With
- 🔥 PTC ceramic heating works via electrical resistance that self-limits temperature — real, established technology.
- ❄️ Fans move air; air conditioners refrigerate it via a compressor/refrigerant cycle. AERIOQ's "cooling mode" has none of that.
- ⚡ 220V devices need 220V outlets. US outlets provide 120V. This is electrical physics, not a "sometimes."
Match the tool to physics. AERIOQ delivers what a compact PTC ceramic heater + fan can deliver. No amount of marketing changes that, and I won't pretend otherwise.
How This Site Makes Money (Full Transparency)
I gave AERIOQ a 3.8/5, called out the fake-Stanford credentials, flagged the fake-sounding journal citations, warned about the 220V voltage question, and honestly explained that "cooling mode" is just a fan — all on pages that earn a commission only if someone buys.
